Here is a highly organic example of Mid century Modern most likely from American art glass producer, the L E Smith Glass Company. Founded in Pennsylvania in 1907, the company was at it height during 60s and 70s and this vase was in their line up from 1958 to 1976.

Sadly, like so many glass producers of the 20th century and after 95 years trading, the company fired up its furnaces for the last time in 2002. Although unmarked the vase strongly resembles work from the L E Smith company so is being sold as attributed rather than confirmed.

This quirky vase stands 11 inches tall, and has been shaped to stand firm, but to also lean, rather coyly, to the left... Love it.
