A commanding piece of Scandinavian mid-century design — this tall Swedish art glass pulpit vase soars to 35 cm, its elegant cobalt neck rising from a clear base alive with perfectly suspended air bubbles.
Still bearing its original “Swedish Art Glass” export label, this was likely produced at Åseda Glasbruk (Sweden) during the 1960s–70s — one of the classic Bo Borgström-era forms known for their tall, fluid proportions and jewel-tone colour.
The label itself, with its sunburst motif and encircled “H”, was not exclusive to any one glasshouse. It was used by export distributors to brand mixed consignments of Swedish glass for sale abroad — a small emblem of quality that confirmed the country of origin rather than the factory.
Under light, the deep cobalt stem glows like ink and sapphire, tapering with perfect control to the clear, bubble-studded base. A true display piece — simple, sculptural, and striking from every angle.
