A striking mid-century Czechoslovakian art glass vase, hand-blown in a bold red and crystal clear combination using the sommerso (submerged colour) technique.
The vase features a strong, modernist design with a tall, squared profile that gently tapers toward a thick, clear glass base. The deep ruby red interior radiates warmth and vibrancy, beautifully contrasted by the crystal-clear outer casing.
This elegant yet minimalist form is typical of mid-20th century Bohemian glass production, with stylistic links to Chribska, Skrdlovice, and Zelezny Brod workshops from the 1960s–1970s.
There are several small inclusions within the glass, the largest being a white speck visible in the clear base area. A few smaller inclusions sit slightly above and to the side; one of these can appear like a surface mark under certain angles of light, but it is fully enclosed within the glass and formed during the blowing process. These are common characteristics of handmade glass and add to its authenticity and charm.
