This beautifully balanced hand-blown bowl is strongly reminiscent of the work produced by Ekenäs Glasbruk in Sweden during the mid-1950s to 1960s. Formed by blowing molten glass into a fine optic mould, the piece displays a mesmerising pattern of soft, undulating ribs that ripple beneath the surface. The glass itself is a wonderfully clear rose-pink, recalling the warmth of 1930s Art Deco tones but reinterpreted here through a modernist Scandinavian lens.

The base is lightly recessed with a standing rim, finished by hand and fire-polished — you can just discern the gentle texture of the blowing process at an oblique angle, proof of genuine studio craftsmanship.

At once delicate and tactile, it embodies the Scandinavian design ethos of purity, simplicity and light play — a bowl that feels equally at home among collectors of mid-century studio glass or as an elegant decorative accent in a modern interior.
