A quite wonderful pair of Ruby glass vintage candleholders.
From the Krosno region of Poland and most likely from the Krosno Glassworks which was founded in the early 1920s, these charming things date from the 1960s or 70s and are fine examples of MCM art glass.
This style of Polish glass is often known as "candy swirl" ...
Whilst clearly a pair the holders are far from identical, each one showcasing the individuality and mastery of the glass-blowers, particularly in the subtle differences between the stems.
