Here is an absolutely charming piece of 1950s kitchenalia in the form of this tinplate flour cannister from the Metal box company Ltd of the Providence Works, Providence Street, Worcester, England.
They produced a variety of cannisters and tins, in a number of different designs from the early 1950s until they ceased to trade in November 1970.
This particular tin is the rarest of all their designs, known (for obvious reasons) as "Daffodils"
Not only is this tin one of the rarest it's in rather splendid condition, and I think, unlikely to have ever been used for storing anything. Very little wear & tear. In lovely, original condition with a wonderful patination.
